Small Cell Antennas

For antenna locations requiring new pole installations, we have the equipment and certifications to dig and set poles up to 70' in height, on or off-road. We also keep an assortment of pole sizes in stock for times when things need to be accomplished quickly.

In addition to our ability to carry out utility related construction, we also have a Fiber Division at your disposal. They are equipped with a single strand splicing machine as well as an OTDR to assist in troubleshooting. This division is versed in outdoor as well as indoor fiber splicing and placement, for more information on this please visit our Fiber Division page.

We have an A rating with ISNET and are held in high regard with National Grid, among others, as a company that not only does clean signature work, but more importantly gets the job done safely and efficiently.

Our team is familiar with the many types and styles of small cell antennas that are currently in service, as well as the equipment being put in place for the emerging 5G network.

Whether you are in need of a new antenna installation, or assistance with troubleshooting and replacement, we are ready for the task at hand.

McDonough Electric specializes in the installation of pole top mounted small cell antennas. In the past few years we have collaborated with and assisted many telecommunication companies with the placement and testing of their equipment.

With 5G networks on the horizon we are positioned to be your source for DAC and ODAC antenna installations.

We have a long history and close relationship with the power utilities such as National Grid, Eversource, Unitil, Liberty Utilities, Central Maine Power, as well as many more in the Northeast region. These relationships established over many decades aid in our ability to schedule non re-closing on their equipment, which is required when installing in the 3 Phase primary power space.

Our workers are certified Union trained linemen from IBEW Local #104 and have the necessary skills and jurisdiction to work in and above the secondary power space, in contrast to electricians or communication workers who are restricted by the power utility to work in the pole space below secondaries (roughly 20-25 feet).
